Learn to Surfskate
Surfskate brings the flow and feel of surf to land. A specialised front truck allows for short, manoeuvrable turns and a fluid ride where speed is generated through pumping as you would when surfing. Surfskate is exploding in popularity as an aid to surf progression as well us for the pure fun, fitness and wellness it offers.
The SurfSkate Academy offers guided sessions for surf skaters of all levels on an individual, group or public basis.
A surfskate and helmet are both provided, and you may also want to bring your own knee, elbow or wrist pads. Appropriate footwear is essential - please no flip-flops, crocs, wellies, open-toed sandals, heels
Beginner to Advanced Adult Sessions
Location: Lost Shore Surf Resort, Edinburgh
The Surfskate Academy has developed a training method that uses repetition to build muscle memory and to hone surfskate competency while creating skills that translate into immediate surf progression
Our adult beginner lesson introduces core techniques, whether your interest is movement meditation, fun, fitness or surf progession.
Intermediate lessons will fast-track your surfskate development, focusing biomechanics of movement to enhance balance, create fluid turns and build skills that will cross over into surf progression.
Advanced lessons will fully hone your surfskate development. This session is for very advanced techniques, which are designed to build muscle memory and will cross over into surf progression.
Kids Surfskate Sessions
(Age 6+)
Location: Lost Shore Surf Resort, Edinburgh
A 50 minute session on 4 wheels that's been honed through teaching hundreds of our youngest budding surfskaters.
Lots of fun, lots of smiles, a great introduction to the sport and a perfect way to engage active kids.
Age Requirement: All participants must be at least 6 years old to take part in this activity. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and appropriate experience for everyone.
No previous surfskate experience required! And we provide all equipment..
Surfskate Birthday Party
Location: Lost Shore Surf Resort, Edinburgh
Celebrate an occasion with The SurfSkate Academy!
A fun and lively 50-minute session for young people aged 6-16 years, followed by a party meal in Canteen.
Your group will have a blast on 4 wheels, then be treated to pizza from local legend Civerinos, a drink, and a sweet treat.
No previous surfskate experience required! And we provide all equipment.
Up to 8 participants are included, and you can increase this to 13
1-2-1 Surfskate session
COACH: SEB JIMENEZ
A one-to-one session is all about fun, rapid learning and fast progression.
It's a chance to get deep into core skills that transfer into surf technique, learn about the biomechanics of your body, increase confidence and improve your balance.
